Clinical Research On Efficacy Of Bronchiectasis With Qingjin Huatan Decoction

The aim of the study was to assess the effect of Qingjin Huatan decoction on Bronchiectasis by analyzing the clinical symptoms and signs score, research the relationship between the cost of treatment and therapeutic effect, and to suggest prioritization scheme of integration of traditional and western medicine. To explore the clinical treatment efficacy and generalization meaning that the usage of Qingjin Huatan decoction.According to the inclusion criteria,60 Bronchiectasis patients were selected and randomly divided into the treatment group and the control group, with 30 cases in each group. The treatment group with Qingjin Huatan decoction integrated with Western medicine, while the control group with conventional Western medicine alone. And the symptoms, signs, days of hospital stay of two groups are observed. To make a cost-effectiveness analysis of two regimens for treatment of Bronchiectasis, then choose the regimen with better effectiveness and economical efficiency and hope to direct the clinical rational use of drugs. To evaluate objectively the clinical treatment efficacy to comparison with the two groups.1. The management of Qingjin Huatan decoction could improve the clinical symptoms and sign of Bronchiectasis patients.The clinical symptoms and sign of both group, such as cough, cough up phlegm, haemoptysis, blood-stained sputum, chest stuffiness, chest pain, thirst, fever, have significant difference after treatment compared with the clinical symptoms and sign before the treatment (p<0.05). The clinical symptoms and sign of the treatment group, such as cough, cough up phlegm, haemoptysis, blood-stained sputum, chest stuffiness, chest pain, thirst, fever, was better than the control group with significant difference (p<0.05) after the treatment, which showed the management of the treating group is better.2. Qingjin Huatan decoction could shorten the hospital stays of Bronchiectasis patients.The average hospital stays of treatment group was 10.43±3.812 days, was shorter than the control group which was 12.63±3.996 days, with significant difference(p<0.05).3. Cost-effectiveness analysisThe cost-effectiveness ratio of treatment group was 25.95, less than the control group, which the cost-effectiveness ratio was 32.37, that means the cost of unit curative effect of the treatment group was less than the control group. What's more, the curative effect of the treatment group was better than the control group; besides, the charges for medicine of the treatment group was less than the control group. From the above, the effectiveness and economical efficiency of treatment group was superior to control groups.The management of the Qingjin Huatan decoction can help Bronchiectasis patients improve the clinical symptoms and sign; and shorten the hospital stays; Through the cost-effectiveness analysis, we concluded that the effectiveness and economical efficiency of treatment group was superior to control groups.
