Objective:To study the effects on immunologic function and anti-cancer activity of sarcoma in mice for providing experimental foundations of curing cancers on clinical treatments with compound guizhu recipe.Methods:S180 oncocyte suspension needed to be inoculated for Kunming rats brought from the experiment animal center of Zhongshan University. The rats were divided randomly: disease model group, Cyclophosphamide (Cy) group, high dose group of compound guizhu recipe, middle dose group of compound guizhu recipe, low dose group of compound guizhu recipe and the three groups were communicated with Cy each to make three more groups. The rats of Cy group needed lumbar injection for three days. Besides that another group was established as normal group. Disease model group and normal group were given distilled water. Cy group needed to be injected with Cy in 20mg/kg once a day for there days. Compound guizhu recipe were diluted with distilled water. The rats of high dose group of compound guizhu recipe were lavaged with recipe in 20mg/kg (it is 10 times more than medicine in clinical treatment), which with middle dose were lavaged in 10mg/kg (it is 5 times more than medicine in clinical treatment), which with low group were lavaged in 5 mg/kg (it is 2.5 times more than medicine in clinical treatment) once a day long for 10 days. All of the rats needed to be killed on the eleventh day.We would come off the tumor bodies and spleens and thymuses. To weight them for computing the tumor inhibition rate, spleen index and thymus index. We needed to take blood, spleen and thymus from the rats and to detect the viscosity of the TNF-α, INF-γ. To take the mRNA from the spleen of the rats and augment the DNA of IL-2 with fluorescent PCR.Result:The spleen index and thymus index of rats of compound guizhu recipe groups with Cy were more obviously different than disease model group (P<0.05). The inhibiting rates of all groups except for the disease model group and normal group were more different than the disease model group(P<0.05).The three compound guizhu recipe with Cy could inhibit the growning of tumors and the inhibiting rate was very different from Cy group(P<0.05). Therefor, the compound guizhu recipe could increase more obviously the effect of inhibiting tumors with Cy together. The Cy group had the difference with compound guizhu recipe groups (p<0.05) on the viscosity of TNF-αand INF-γin blood serum. All compound guizhu recipe groups could increase more obviously the viscosity of TNF-αand INF-γthan Cy group(p<0.05). Compound guizhu recipe groups was more different from Cy group on the viscosity of IL-2 (P<0.05) which also increase it more largly.Conclusion:The compound guizhu recipe could inhibit the growing of the cancer by increasing the effect of Cy.
