Objective:To compare the clinical outcomes of simple salvage autotransfusfusion and homologous blood transfusion in the management of ruptured ectopic pregnancies. Methods:The data of 96 patients with ruptured ectopic pregnancies admitted for surgery from January 2007 to December 2010 in our hospital were collected. According to the different ways of intraoperative blood transfusion, they were divided into two groups as autologous blood transfusion and homologous blood transfusion. They were compared with the change of nine indicators (WBC,RBC,HCT,HB,PLT,APTT,PT,TT,FBI) in the stage of preoperation, the first day after surgery and the day befor discharged. Minewhile, the change of postoperative fever, postoperative wound infection, duration of hospital stay, the time of out-of-bed activity, the time of restore peristalsi and stitches time beterwen the two groups were observed. Results:The average amount of blood transfusion in autologous group is 783±379.39ml, homologous group is 330±116.49ml. There were significant differences beterwen the groups(p=0.001). On the first day after surgery, RBC,HCT,HB,PLT,WBC were decreased in varying degrees. WBC in autologous group is -6.1000±5.1000 while -2.0600±5.9707 in homologous group. There were significant differences beterwen the groups(p<0.05). Recovery status after surgery, including postoperative fever, postoperative wound infection, duration of hospital stay, the time of out-of-bed activity, the time of restore peristalsis, stitches time were significant differences beterwen the two groups excepted postoperative wound infection and duration of hospital stay. Conclusion:The average total amount of blood transfusion in autologous group is more than homologous group. It not only reduced the waste of blood, but also eliminated the spread of disease caused by blood transfusion.Comparing with the homologous group, the patients in autologous group received more concentrated erythroblast which conducive to recovery of patients who loss blood much. It reduced the risk of infection and cost during hospitalization directly. Autologous blood transfusion should be widely promoted in the clinic.
