| Objective:To evaluate the imaging characteristics of breast carcinoma by radiofrequency ultrasound local estimators(RULES) and the pathologic bases. Methods:Conventional B-mode US and RULES were performed in thirty-six cases with 37 breast malignant lesions before operation. The RULES images of breast malignant lesions were characterized from five aspects, including the main color, percentage area of color, varity of color, color distribution area and the color degree of aggregation. The RULES imaging characteristics of the breast malignant lesions and their pathologic bases were analyzed, which were sustantiated by pathologic operation. Results:â‘ Most breast malignant lesions showed red as the main color, multiple color, multiple distribution, though a certain of diversity on RULES images.â‘¡It was shown that the RULES images had certain difference among different types of breast cancer. The main color, percentage area of color, color varity and color distribution area had statistical difference(P<0.05). The color degree of aggregation had no statistical difference(P>0.05).â‘¢The imaging characteristics of RULES were related to the number of tumor cells, growth pattern, distribution, gather degree, and extent of fibrous stromal reaction in the breast cancer.â‘£The image difference among different types of breast cancer was related to the tumor tissue composition and biological behavior. Conclusions:The RULES images of breast cancer have characteristics to some extent, which can reflect the pathological and histological characteristics of the breast cancer. |
