Compound Traditional Chinese Medicine With Qi_supplementing And Blood Activating For Chronic Heart Failure On Systematic Reviews Of Randomised Controlled Trials

Objective:To evaluate the efficacy and safety of compound Traditional Chinese Medicine with Qi—supplementing and blood activating for Chronic heart failureMethods:Literatures from WANFANG DATE BASE, the full text of the CNKI database, full-text database of Chinese scientific and technical journals, Chinese Biomedical Literature Database, Core journals of T.C.M. regarding randomized controlled trials of compound T. C. M. with Qi-supplementing and blood activating for Chronic heart failure were reviewed.As all searches end in 2010.Related literatures were selected and analyzed according to different treatment strategies of the trials. The methodological quality of the trials was assessed by the Jadad scale and evaluation was performed with software RevMan 4.2.10.Results:Seventeen randomized controlled trials meting the inclusion criteria were selected and reviewed.All selected trials in Chinese. All trials quality scale are C. All trials didn't assessed long-term effect. There was a statistical difference between compound T. C. M. with Qi-supplementing and blood activating group with the control group (basic therapy), the meta analysis from sixteen trials in cardiac function improvement indicated that the odds ratio (OR) was 4.19, and 95% confidence interval(CI)was [3.04,5.77]. P<0.00001, The meta analysis from five trials indicated that the weighted mean difference(WMD) for ejection fraction of left ventricl was 0.09, and 95% CI was [0.01,0.16], P=0.03.Two trials E/A indicator WMD was 0.16, and 95% CI was [0.02,0.30], P=0.03. three trials BNP indicator standardized mean difference (SMD) was-1.67,95%CI[-3.08,-0.26]. P=0.02, Two trials Left ventricular end diastolic diameter indicator WMD was-4.33,95%CI[-6.00,-2.65], P< 0.00001.These is no statistical Significance, Two trials CI indicator WMD was-0.83, 95%CI[-0.27,1.93], P=0.14.Conclusion:Compound T. C. M. with Qi-supplementing and blood activating may can improvement CHF cardiac function in short-terms. Have a certain effect on E/A,ejection fraction of left ventricle.However, it leaves something to be desired of the research literature, is still a need for large-scale, high-quality, long enough follow-up of the randomized controlled clinical study to provide evidence.
