Analysis On The Sequence Of Death Causes And Related Factors In Junan In 2008

Objective Death rate and the sequence of death causes are important and essential informations about the public health.It is one of the important indexes to estimate the health need and the health level on the population.It can supply the scientific evidence to make the health measure and evaluate the effect.It is also one of the important content to study the nature change of the population.By collecting and analysing the sequence of death causes in Junan in 2008,we can study the residents health state and their health need,and we can also estimate the population's health state in Linyi city,to supply evidence for the government to prevent and control diseases.Methods The datum of population in Junan was from Junan municipal statistical bureau and police bureau.The death information came from Junan Disease Surveillance Point(DSP).Death causes were classificated according to the International Classifications of Diseases 10(ICD-10).The software of SPSS13.0 and Excel were the main statistical methods.Results In the top ten death causes,nine ones were Non-communicable chronic diseases(NCD).The six leading death causes were Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular diseases,Malignant neoplasm,disease of the Respiratory System,Injury,disease of the Nervous and Mental System,and Diabetes mellitus,which accounted for 93.30 percent of all death. Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular diseases accounted for 41.78 percent,are the main death causes after 60 years old. Malignant neoplasm was the second death cause,accounted for 21.13 percent,Lung cancer,Liver cancer and Stomach cancer were the top three causes.Injury was the first death cause between the population of 1-35 years old.Transport accidents,Fall and Self-harm were the main causes. PYLL and SPYLL about the main death causes showed that the PYLL,SPYLL about Malignant neoplasm and Injury were higher than those about Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular diseases and disease of the Respiratory System.Economic lost about Malignant neoplasm,Injury and Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular diseases accounted for 12.49 percent in GDP.Conclusion and Suggests NCD have been becoming the main diseases and main death causes in Junan. Potential years of life lost and economic lost were very big.Because they are a seriese of diseases which mostly due to life patterns,so intergrative prevent and control shoud be taken,and the Community intervention is the best methods.
