Clinical Study On Ischemic Optic Neuropathy Treated With The Way Of Dispelling Wind And Harmonizing Blood

Objective:To explore the therapeutic effect and mechanism of dispelling wind and harmonizing blood to cure ischemic optic neuropathy, based on the effect characteristic of Chinese herbs to dispel wind and their theoretic research and clinical application observation.Methods:63 patients of ischemic optic neuropathy were randomized into Experimental Group(EG),32 cases(37 eyes) treated with Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) "DaQinJiao Decoction"based on the therapeutical principle of dispelling wind and harmonizing blood; and Control Group(CG) 31 cases(37eyes) treated with Monosialotetrahexosylganlioside Sodium for Injection and Ligustrazine Hydrochloride for Injection. Observe the visual acuity(VA),mean sensitivity(MS), mean damage(MD) and arm-retina circulation time(A—RCT) before and after treatment.Result:The effective rate of the EG is 89.19%,obviously higher than that of CG(70.27%) with statistical significance (P<0.05); Comparison of the visual acuity(VA), mean sensitivity(MS), mean damage(MD) and arm-retina circulation time(A—RCT) in the EG before and after treatment have significant difference (P＜0.005); The observe indexes of the two groups have significant differences after treatment (P<0.05).No adverse reactions during the cure.Conclusion:TCM based on dispelling wind and harmonizing blood can improve visual acuity(VA) and mean sensitivity(MS), diminish mean damage(MD),and shorten arm-retina circulation time(A—RCT) of patients with ischemic optic neuropathy hence ameliorate the visual function with significant therapeutic effect.
