Zhuhai is a major city in the Pearl River Delta in Guangdong Province. In recent years, it provides a more nutritional status for farmers in Zhuhai because of the rapid economic development and heightening living standards. However, uneven economic development at the various areas, especially the rural areas in Zhuhai, coupling with a weak foundation of health education and management that make people lack of nutritional knowledge, and many other reasons, results in outstanding nutritional and health problems. These problems show up with nutrition-deficiency and nutrition-imbalance that cause obesity, diabetes and cardiovascular diseases. The double malnutrition increases year after year.
