Background: Brain natriuretic peptide(BNP)is a neurohormone that is synthesized and released predominantly from ventricular myocardium in response to myocardial ( ischemia, necrosis ,lesion) ,myocyte stretch and the increase of ventricular stress. Brain natriuretic peptide causes natriuresis,diuresis,vaso-dilatation, smooth muscle relaxation, antifibrotic effects on cardiac fibroblast(simpairment myocardial hyperophy and enlarged ventricle).Many research studies have demonstrated that plasma BNP is a marker which plays an important role in the diagnosis,treatment and prognosis of cardiovascular diseaseLactic acid is a indirect index of between oxygen supply and demand of tissue interior , so correct lactic acid monitoring is significant for pathogenetic condition evaluation and prognosis evaluation of cardiac surgery patients. The higher the arterial blood level of lactic acid, the longer the duration, the more critical the condition, the higher the mortality rate. Lactic acid level can be used as an excellent prognosis index for patients after cardiac surgery. Objective:To sum up the study progress and correlation of Brain natriuretic peptide and Lactic acid in cardiac surgery.Retrieval strategy: The relevant articles published between July 1979 and March 2011 were searched in Springer by researcher of the article with the key words of"Brain natriuretic peptide, Lactic acid"or"Cardiac Surgery ,Correlation"in English.Articles were selected and reviewed by the inclusive criteria of:â‘ articles closely related with the the study of Brain natriuretic peptide and Lactic acid in Cardiac Surgery.â‘¡the articles are published recently in authority journals in the same field.Conclusion: In cardiac surgery,Brain natriuretic peptides and Lactic acid plays an important role in the diagnosis , pathogenetic condition evaluation,treatment and prognosis of cardiovascular disease and both them have correlation. |
