Femoral Shaft Fracture Nonunion Correlation Analysis And Treatment

Objective:To evaluate the factors and treatment of postoperative femoral shaft fracture nonunion.Method:The study cases were from the Shandong Medical University Hospital Orthopedic ward from July 2007 to July 2009 after femoral shaft fractures were treated non-union,25 cases were retrospectively analyzed and sum up the healing of femoral shaft fracture factors in patients with non-healing according to the type and internal fixation manner individual treatment, treatment with replacement of internal fixation with intramedullary autogenous iliac bone graft extramedullary. The second post-operative treatment effect under the "Illizarov Methods and Research Institute" on the bone is not healing and functional recovery evaluation methods to be assessed.Results:All 25 patients were 24 cases of a one-time cure, to achieve bone healing, complete bone healing time of 5 to 8 months, an average of 6.2 months.Conclusion:latrogenic factors (bad fractures, bone defects, improper fixation material selection) and their factors (type of fracture, early weight-bearing, activity overload) is a femoral shaft fracture nonunion two main reasons for the secondary surgery to replace a reliable fixation and autogenous iliac bone graft surgery (intramedullary extramedullary bone graft) positive effect.
