Purpose:In the study, we carry out health education to the people who exposes to the rabies, investigation the impact of the intervention on their rabies relevant knowledge, attitudes and behaviors, to get a preliminary evaluation of the health education intervention's impacts on them and provide the basis for the disease prevention and control organizations carry out state health educations. Methods:Choose 200 persons who have been attacked by animals and take vaccine against rabies virus in Taiyuan Disease Prevention Centers between Oct, in 2009 to Feb, in 2010. Divide them into test group and blank group randomly when they accept the vaccination first time, for each group 100 cases, and carry out health education to the test group while don't give any intervention to the blank group for contrast. Take questionnaires to both groups before and after the health educations, and compare the questionnaires score changes between two groups to evaluate the effect of health education.Results:1,Rabies relatively knowledge comparison:in baseline survey, the test group score on average is 7.70±1.86, while the blank group is 12.12±1.64. After intervention, both group average score are rising (p<0.001), but the amplitude is more apparent in test group (p<0.001). The result indicates that the test group mastered the rabies relatively knowledge better.2,Rabies relevant attitudes comparison:in baseline survey, the test group score on average is 5.30±2.56, while the blank group is 7.05±2.56. After intervention, the average score of the test group is higher (p<0.001), and the amplitude is more apparent (p<0.001)After intervention,99%person in test group believes that correct treatment to wound after exposes can prevent rabies, while the proportion in blank group is only 62%, there are significant difference between them (x2=43.606, p<0.01); 98%person in test group after the whole range vaccination will test the post-vaccine antibody in self, while 63%in blank group will do, there are significant difference between them (x2=39.019, p<0.01); 100%people in test group will inject rabies vaccine to their healthy dogs, while only 61%people in blank group will do, there are significant difference between them (x2=48.447, p<0.01); 90%people in test group agree to institute rules and regulations to manage pets, while 66%people in the blank group, there are significant difference between them (x2=16.783, p<0.01). All the above results suggest the test group one's correct or proper attitude rate is higher.3,Rabies relatively behavior comparison:in baseline survey, the test group score on average is 2.53±1.04, while the blank group is 3.08±0.97. After intervention, the average score of the test group is significant higher than the blank group(p<0.001).After intervention,99%person in test group realized that it should wash the animal-induced wound by fluid water immediately, while the proportion in blank group is only 29%, there are significant difference between them (x2=43.606,p<0.01), it indicated the test group have a higher correct behavior rate.4,Multiple factors analysis on rabies relevant knowledge, attitudes and behaviors:with multiple linear regression analysis on knowledge, the impact of cultural level and age on rabies relatively knowledge score is statistical significance (p< 0.05). with multiple linear regression analysis on attitude, the impacts of cultural level, rabies basic knowledge, knowledge of animal-induced wound treatment and test the post-vaccine antibody in self on rabies relatively attitude score is statistical significance (p< 0.05). With linear regression analysis of the logistic on behavior, when other variables constant, as the cultural level higher, the score of behavior higher, the OR value is 0.559; as the age older, the score of behavior higher, the OR value is 3.095; as the rabies relatively basic knowledge score higher, the score of behavior higher, the OR value is 2.276; as the score for arise pets higher, the score of behavior higher, the OR value is 1.684.ConclusionIn the study, we can indicate that the health education intervention can effect improve the rabies relevant knowledge, attitudes and behaviors of the people accept investigation, it demonstration that health education will improve the level of rabies exposed people's KAP, it profit for they master correct knowledge of prevention and manage, set right faith and form behaviors promote healthy. Disease prevention and controlling institutions should meet different situation of the people exposed to rabies and their different needs to health education, should carry out prevention rabies health education directly in advance.
