Objective To investigate coxsackie virus, echo virus, respiratory syncytial virus, adenovirus, parainfluenza virus, cytomegalo virus, rubeola virus and herps simplex virus infection in children in Lan zhou area。Methods The samples of 637 children (from 3 month to 16 years old) in Lanzhou area during the period of February 2006 to August 2009, including viral myocarditis and doubtful 279 cases,256 healthy children, were detected for coxsackie B virus types 1,2,3,4,5,coxsackie A, echo virus types 6,9 , respiratory syncytial virus, adenovirus types 3,11, parainfluenza virus types 2,3 cytomegalo virus, rubeola virus and herps simplex virus type 1 altogether 8 viruses 16 types by the cell culture。Results Viral neutralization antibody were detected, in 315 positive results out of 637 samples and the positive rate was 49.45%, including coxsackie B virus 267 positive cases (84.76%), C2 was the principal viral pathogen, with total 90 cases(28.57%), then C3 C1 was 66 cases (20.59%) and 57 cases (18.10%). Echo virus was 66 cases (20.95%), E6 was the major viral pathogen, with total 44 cases (13.97%). Parainfluenza virus was 159 cases (50.48%), parainfluenza virus type 3 was the major viral pathogen, with total 82 cases (26.03%). Adenovirus was 98 cases (31.11%), adenovirus type 11 was the major viral pathogen, with total 53 cases (16.83%). Respiratory syncytial virus was 52 cases (16.51%). Herps simplex virus type 1 was 70 cases(22.22%). Cytomegalo virus was 34 cases (10.79%).Rubeola was 27 cases(8.57%). Respiratory syncytial virus was detected 12 cases(3.81%) in infants and young children. Coxsackie B virus was the major viral pathogen in children from 3 years old to 7 years old, with total 41 cases(24.85%). Coxsackie B virus and parainfluenza virus were the major viral pathogen in children from 7 years old to 14 years old, with total 169 cases(50.45%) and 105 cases (31.34%). Coxsackie B virus was the major viral pathogen in children from 14 years old to 16 years old, with total 53 cases (61.63%). Compared intestine virus and respiratory tract viruses infections of 256 healthy children with 279 viral myocarditis and doubtful cases, byχ2 test P>0.05, viral infection rate was no remarkable difference。Conclusion Coxsackie B virus type 2 and echo virus type 6 were common intestine virus in children viral infection in Lanzhou area. Parainfluenza virus type 3 and adenovirus type 11 were common respiratorytract viruses in children viral infection in Lanzhou area。...
