Objective:By studying the influence of the social support network on Drug Abusing Transition, the factors to change the manners of drug taking will be explored so that the scientific evidences are likely provided for future interventionMethods:By means of cross-sectional investigation and through the application of driven sampling method, the typical "seed" personnel is found in Yansha County and Wenshan County. The qualified drug addicts recommended by the seed are investigated, and then the investigated drug addicts would recommend other addicts. In this manner,424 addicts are investigated in total. A comparison between behavioral surveillance data on the local and peer comparison samples will be made and the sampling effect will be evaluated. Materials concerning demography, information on drug addicts and factors affecting the changing way drug addicts use are collected through the questionnaire specifically devised.Results:1, the local male among the drug addicts takes a larger proportion; the average age when drug addicts took the first drug is 20.1 and 5.2 more or less; most of their education background is below junior high school, and they are unemployed presently; the average length of time they have been taking drugs is 10 years and 95% of them is among 1 to 20 years. Heroin is the most typical drugs they take and other types of drug are rarely seen. Compared with Wenshan County, juveniles among drug addicts in Xianshan County takes a higher proportion, in the last 5 years, the number of drug addicts is increasingly become larger. 90 % of the drug addicts in the two regions took drugs by smoking at first, but as the time they drugged expands,44.6% of them began to take dugs by injection. The factors that cause them to change their way of drug taking contains gender, education background, living atmosphere, years of drug abuse, persuasion from their friends and self assessment about drug taking.Conclusion:the local management in drugs is poor. And there is a misunderstanding about drugs, that is, without professional instructions, the drugs will be used to treat disease. The drug addicts who have been addicted to drugs for 2 years and below will be instructed and educated accurately so that their condition will not become more serious. Supervision on juveniles should be strengthened and the punishment against those who seduce the youth to take drugs should be more severe.
