Study On Clinic And Immune Mechanism Of Treating The Syndrome Of Phlegm And Heat Obstructing The Pulmonary Of Pediatric Respiratory Syncytial Virus Pneumonia With Qinfgfei Oral Liquid

Obeject: To observe the efficacy and safety of Qingfei oral liquid in treating the syndrome of phlegm and heat obstructing the pulmonary of pediatric Respiratory Syncytial Virus pneumonia. To study the effects of Qingfei oral liquid medicated serumon on expression of transforming growth factor-β₁, platelet derived growth factor-BB mRNA genes in RSV infected human embryonic lung fibroblasts cells.Methods: 62 cases that met the criterion of the syndrome of phlegm and heat obstructing the pulmonary of pediatric RSV pneumonia were selected, all subjects were divided randomly into two groups, test group (27 cases) and control group (35 cases). Test group was given Qingfei oral liquid, control group was infused ribavirin injection. Then we oberserved the improvements of fever, cough, phlegm, breathlessness, chest auscultation and X-ray examination in two groups as efficacy parameters, quantitative basis was established on clinical scores and disappearance rate of symptoms. Real-time fluorescence quantitative PCR method was used to determine the effects of Qingfei oral liquid medicated serumon on the expression of TGF-β₁ and PDGF-BB mRNA genes.Results: The improvements of symptoms like cough, phlegm, chest auscultation and X-ray examination in the test group were better than that of the control group, there was no significant difference between two groups on the improvements of fever and breathlessness. The main symptom integral, secondary symptoms integral, total integral in the two groups at different time points were compared, efficacy of test group was better than that of the control group. The comprehensive efficacy of test group, including the cure rate and effective rate, was much better when compared with the control group. Experimental results showed the expression of TGF-β₁ in the RSV infected HELF decreased, while PDGF-BB increased, after the action of Qingfei oral liquid medicated serumon, the expression of TGF-β₁ increased to a certain level, while PDGF-BB decrease.Conclusion: Qingfei oral liquid is an effective and safe compound in treating the syndrome of phlegm and heat obstructing the pulmonary of pediatric RSV pneumonia. Qingfei oral liquid can regulate the release of TGF-β₁, PDGF-BB, so as to achieve corresponding efficacy through immune mechanism.
