Study Of Correlation Between Formation Mechanism And Clinic Application Of The Tout Pulse

This research collected and categorized information of taut pulse(Xianmai) from ancient TCM records to state-of-the-art literatures,with respects to pulse feature, mechanism,and clinic pulse-relevant disease.Using methodologies of data mining and statistics,huge records of clinical cases were analyzed to explore mechanism of taut pulse and its clinical application.1.Literature study on taut pulse in traditional sphygmologyThe feature of taut pulse in pulse-taking:long,straight,tight.The formation mechanism:liver dysfunction of dredging,dislocation of Qi,stressful pulse-Qi, stressful pulse and pulse path.The taut pulse relevant diseases:liver-gall diseases, pain syndrome,phlegm,malaria.Taut pulse appers mostly real syndrome,but also in non-real syndrome or mixed form.2.Literature study on taut pulse in state-of-the-an TCM literatureFormation mechanism of taut pulse in modern science research focuses on three relevant factors:fluid dynamics of blood,flexibility of blood vessel,and rheological behavior of blood,relevance three aspects.Statistical analysis of 18664 clinical cases recorded from Ming-Qing dynasty to present shows that(1) Among the 5 pulses of most appearing in clinical diseases,taut pulse ranked 2th with occurrence frequency 16.77%;(2) taut pulse in liver-gall disease has the high occurrence probability of 37.65%,which is highest compared with other TCM internal organ diseases;(3) taut pulse is also close relevant to heart and stomach diseases.3.Study of correlation between taut pulse and dissertation of clinical diseases Many diseases are correlated to taut pulse.They are heart-relevant like hypertension, coronary artery hardening;digest-relevant like liver-gall,stomach; respiratory-relevant like urgent chronic bronchitis,bronchial tube asthma,lung infection,allergic rhinitis.Taut pulse is relevant to most diseases.
