Objective: Investigate the prevalence of anxiety and/or depressive disorders in outpatients of general hospital and their distribution in different departments.Method: 1513 outpatients were investigated using HADS, PHQ-15 and MINI from 4 outpatients departments of 3 general hospitals in in Changsha city.Results: In the 1513 outpatients, the prevalence of anxiety disorders and depressive disorders was 2.6% and 5.7% respectively. Correlatijon analysis showed that the total score of HADS was associated with the total score of work and loss of working time.Conclusion: It was noticeable to healthcares that the prevalence of the anxiety disorders and depressive disorder is quite high in outpatients department of general hospital. It's unfortunately that the rate of receiving diagnosis and treatment is pretty low among them.
