Objective:To investigate the correlation of the expression of Wnt-1,β-catenin(β-cat) and Cyclin D1 in non-small cell lung cancer and its significance.Materials and Methods:Sixty non-small cell lung cancer specimens,thirty non-small cell lung cancer lung tissues near tumor limited two centimeter and specimens proved by pathologic diagnosis were collected from surgical resections.These non-small cell lung cancer Patients whose age varied from 36 years to 73 years,average 55 years,are 38 males and 22 females and were not performed any radiotherapy and chemotherapy.Each specimen was stained in imunohistochemistory. Expressions of Wnt-1,β-catenin and Cyclin D1 in patients were detected by S-P method.The results are analysed by SPSS13.0 statistical software. All data were classified by clinical stage,age and gender. The chi-square test and Fishe′s exact probabilities were used to Process the data.The correlation among Wnt-1,β-catenin and Cyclin D1 were analysed by Spearman analysis.a=0.05 were considered as the significant test level.Results:1. Immunohistochemistry (SP method) was used to detect non-tumor lung tissue found that the positive expression ratios in experimental group of Wnt-1,β-catenin and Cyclin D1 were statistically significant comparision with Latero - tumor group and control group(P= 0.03;P =0.000;P=0.04,P= 0.000;P =0.000;P=0.000), that the positive expression ratios in latero- tumor group of Wnt-1 and Cyclin D1 were statistically significant comparision with control group(P= 0.03;P =0.02).and that the positive expression ratios in latero- tumor group ofβ-catenin was non- statistically significant comparision with control group(P= 0.106).The positive expression ratios of Wnt-1,β-catenin and Cyclin D1 were statistically significant judged by speaman analysis relevant among three groups(P= 0.000;P =0.019;P=0.000) 2.Wnt-1,β-catenin expression related with smoking (P=0.04; P=0.006),β-catenin expression related with tumor diamete(rP=11.364;P= 0.001).Cyclin D1 related with the staging and lymph node metastasis in non-small cell lung cancer (P = 0.032; P = 0.002).Result:Abnormal expression of Wnt-1,β-catenin and Cyclin D1 in non-small cell lung cancer tissues indicated that aberrant Wnt signal transduction pathway may be related to the tumorigenesis, development, and differentiation-related degree of non-small cell lung cancer.
