In the essay we elaborate from the theory and clinic aspects about the formulae, Modified Duhuo Jisheng Tang accompany with Methotrexate (MTX), and apply them in clinic to treat liver kidney deficiency, phlegm blood stasis blocking type of rheumatoid arthritis.Theory research: According to the clinical practice and combined with the analysis to the reference, we discuss aetiology and pathogenesis and differ the key syndromes of the type. The aetiology is as follows, congenital insufficiency, or long-time disease referring to kidney leads to the essence and blood deficiency of liver and kidney first; invaded by wind cold and dampness second; long time of blocking leads to integration of phlegm and blood stasis, channels and collaterals obstruction, and finally causes the disease. The main pathogenesis is the liver and kidney deficiency first, channels and collaterals obstruction of wind, cold and dampness, integrating phlegm and stasis second. Thus the principles of treatment is tonifying liver and kidney, resolving phlegm, removing blood stasis, unblocking the collaterals and expelling obstruction, and brings forward Modified Duhuo Jisheng Tang accompany with MTX for rheumatoid arthritis in the mid or late stage.Clinical research: We create Modified Duhuo Jisheng Tang accompany with MTX to treat liver kidney deficiency, phlegm blood stasis blocking type of mid or late stage RA, with the control group of Leflunomide(LEF) accompany with MTX, following the theories of TCM and clinical practice. Through the clinical research, we confirm both groups have functions of anti-inflammatory, analgesia, regulating immune and can reduce the symptoms of RA, improve the living qualities and joints function, ease patients condition, and the two don't have significant statistical difference. However, the former one has less side effect and toxicity, and shorter time of responsion of effects, less economical burden, and better compliance. The former method shows the clinical application value and the predominance of combination of TCM and western medicine treating RA. |
