| Objective:To detect serum visfatin and inflammatory cytokines TNF-αlevels in patients with type 2 diabetes,to explore visfatin and its relationship to glucose and lipid metabolism,TNF-αand vascular endothelial function,and to study its role in diabetic vasular complications.Methods:To select 59 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM) (28 males,31 females) and 23 controls(12 males,11 females) in the study. Patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus were divided into two groups according to vasular complications:T2DM with vasular complications and without vasular complications.Their blood pressure,height,weight, waist and hip circumferences were measured,fasting seurm visfatin, TNF-α,fasting plasma glucose(FPG),fasting serum insulin(FINS), postprandial plasma glucose(PBG),postprandial serum insulin(PINS), homeglobin A1c(HbA1c),triglyeride(TG),total cholesterol(TC),high density lipoprotein(HDL),low density lipoprotein(LDL)were also measured.The FMD of a part of T2DM(totle 26,16 males,10 females) and control group(totle 15,8 males,7 femals) was dectected.Then to computer the BMI,WHR,HOMA-IR,HOMA-βand to analyse the relation between visfatin and glucose and lipid metabolism,TNF-α, vascular endothelial function,and the changes of serum visfatin levels in T2DM with vasular complications and without vasular complications.Results:Compared to control,visfatin,TNF-αwere obviously elevated,FMD and EID were decreased(p<0.05),visfatin level was found to be positively associated with BMI,WHR,log10FINS, log10HOMA-IR,TNF-α,and a negatively associated with FMD,but not with EID.TNF-αof T2DM with vasular complications were higher than T2DM without vasular complications(p<0.05),although the serum visfatin had no significant difference in T2DM with or without vasular complications,the levels of visfatin of T2DM with vasular complications had a upward trend.Conclusion:Compared to control,the serum visfatin levels of T2DM is obviously elevated,may has its relation to obese,insulin resistance,inflammatory reaction;visfatin is negatively correlated with vascular endothelial function evaluated by FMD,so visfatin may related to injuried endothelial function. |
