Objective: To observe the expression of HIF-1αand the correlation of the changes between the HIF-1αwith the inflammatory factors in patients with severe acute pancreatitis. Methods: Twenty patients with severe acute pancreatitis were selected as SPA group, another twenty healthy volunteers were served as control group. The total RNA was extracted from peripheral leukocytes, the mRNA expression of HIF-1αwas detected by RT-PCR. And the plasma level of HIF-1α,IL-6,TNF-α,IL-1β,IL-10,IL-4,TGF-β1 were measured by ELISA.Results: The mRNA expression of HIF-1αin patients with SAP were significantly higher that in control group(P﹤0.05).The protein of HIF-1αwas highly significant increased than that in control group (P<0.01), and the changes are positive correlated with the values of pro-inflammatory factors, but negative correlated with anti-inflammatory factors. Conclusion: The mRNA and protein expression of HIF-1αare highly increased in patients with SAP, and they are positive correlation with the severity of inflammation which imply that HIF-1 may play an important role in the pathogenesis and progression of severe acute pancreatitis, and it can be a useful marker of SAP in diagnosis and evaluation. |
