| Gestational Diabetes Mellitus is a common obstetric complication, the incidence rate of 1%-14%.Pregnancy outcome is associated with serum glucose level.GDM screening time should be between 24 and 28 of gestation weeks,screening for the census or selective screening, screening methods for the 50g oral glucose test. Glycosylated hemoglobin as a clinical diabetes screening is on the gradual use. Diagnostic methods and standards of GDM currently have not yet been unified. Overall, GDM diagnostic methods are divided into one-step and two-step.The current clinical diagnostic criteria commonly used in the main have WHO, the American Diabetes Association (ADA),the United States National Diabetes Data Group (NDDG) standards.Diagnostic standards which is recommend in China now are based on the diagnostic criteria for the development of the United States because of lacking of suitable evidence-based medicine based on our diagnostic criteria. The current treatment of GDM include diet therapy, drug therapy, exercise therapy, psychological therapy, traditional Chinese medicine,gene therapy and other treatment interventions ways. The key step is to control serum glucose in patients with GDM at normal or near normal range, to reduce perinatal complications. |
