Clinical Observation On "FuFang Changpu Ye" Herbal-Oxygen Therapy Of Vascular Cognitive Impairment

Vascular cognitive impairment(VCI) is cognitive impairment syndrome caused by cerebrovascular disease risk factors(e.g.Hypertension,Diabetes Hyperlipemia),the obvious(Cerebral Infarction,Cerebral Hemorrhage) or not obvious cerebrovascular disease(Leukoaraiosis,chronic cerebral ischemia, Hereditary cerebral disease).VCI include vascular dementia,a vascular component of Alzheimer's disease(AD) and not meet the diagnostic criteria for vascular dementia and cognitive impairment.Traditional Chinese Medicine have relevant records of VCI early.The first people mentioned "CHIDAI(Dementia)" iS SunSimiao(Tang dynasty).The ancients had treatises on etiopathogenesis and pathogenesis of dementia in detail.The therapies include Herbal and Acupuncture.Herbal-Oxygen therapy is a new therapy which integrates traditional Chinese medicine with modern medicine.Inhaled medicine is assimilated quickly in the form of sol,and promotes recovery of brain cell and nerves.ObjectiveTo explore the effect on treating vascular cognitive impairment through "FuFang CHangpu Ye" Herbal-Oxygen therapy.Method:60 cases conform to inclusion criteria are divided into experimental group and control group by simple randomization.This clinical research chooses single blind method.Experimental group:put 3ml herbal extracting solution combined with 30ml distilled water into humidifier.Inhaling herbal-oxygen through nose,2L/min,30min/d,1time/d;Control group:routing oxygen inhale, 21/min,30min/d,1time/d.Both groups have treatment of acupuncture.There is a total of two course,for 15 days each course of treatment,Patients are evaluated by MMSE,ADL and MoCA before and after the two courses' treatment.Result:Experimental group is 87.88%;total effective rate is 66.67%.By using t-test and rank sum test,compare two groups' total effective rate,result shows difference has statistical significance.Both groups' MMSE scores and MoCA scores are higher than before treatment.Experimental group's MMSE scores and MoCA scores are higher than control group,the difference has s significance.Both groups' ADL scores are higher than before treatment, comparing two groups,there is no statistical significance.There no adverse event during the clinical research.Conclusion:"FuFang CHangpu Ye" Herbal-Oxygen therapy has good effect on treating vascular cognitive impairment,and has no adverse event.This kind of therapy can be operated easily,and is worth of popularizing.
