Objective: With the analysis of characteristics for visual field outcomes, a detailed comparative study is carried out of the light sensitivity on central visual fields and the corresponding partition between the eyes with two types of intraocular lens. So that we can perfect objective evaluation on visual quality of the eyes with aspheric intraocular lens.Methods: To observe 36 cases of age-related cataract patients who accept phacoemulsification and intraocular lens implantation 19 cases(21 eyes) of these patients were implanted AcrySof IQ( SN60WF )lens and 17 cases(21 eyes) were implanted Sensar lens. The normal peoples that 11 cases(19 eyes) as the third group . To examine the difference in the visual acuity and indices of the central visual field between the three groups.The results of visual field were analyzed by the SPSS 13.0 software package's with independent-samples T Test and one-way ANOVA.Results: Two groups of patients with no subjective discomfort after cataract surgery. And the best corrected visual acuity(BCVA) of AcrySof IQ group is 0.81±0.18, the BCVA of Sensar group is 0.77±0.17, there were no significant difference between two group (P>0.05). To visual field outcomes , the mean deviation(MD) of IQ group, Sensar group and normal group is -4.37±2.29 dB, -4.57±2.74 dB and -1.86±0.56 dB respective; the pattern standard deviation (PSD) of AcrySof IQ group, Sensar group and normal group is 2.51±1.35 dB, 2.63±0.94 dB and 1.92±0.63 dB.No significant difference on MD and PSD between the two pseudophakic groups (P>0.05). There were the statistical significant differences (P <0. 001) in MD of central visual fields and the corresponding partition between the normal groups and the pseudophakic group. Compared with normal group , the light sensitivity of the IQ group desearse about 2-3dB and the Sensar group desearse about 3dB.The light sensitivity decreased by 1dB at every 10 degree from the eccentricity on eyes with intraocular lens .Conclusion: The visual acuity improved significantly on the two pseudophakic groups than preoperative. The light sensitivity showed a general decline on the two groups of pseudophakic.Evaluation from the visual field outcomes, there are the same visual function between the eyes implanted with SN60WF and the eyes implanted with Sensar AR40e. |
