The Effects Of Balance Function By Acupuncture And Rehabilitation The Point On The Head Combined With Balance Training On Stroke Patients

Objective:To study the curative effect of acupuncture and rehabilitation therapy integrated with balancing apparatus training on the convalescence stage in treating the patients who are handicapped in equilibrium function after the cerebral infarction.Methods:Forty cases with handicap in equilibrium function after cerebral infarction were randomly divided into the treatment group and the control group,each of the group contained 20 cases.The control group took conventional acupuncture and rehabilitation therapy,the treatment group took balancing apparatus training on the base of conventional functional training. Both groups were given the rehabilitation assessment before and after the treatment.The rehabilitation assessment included the following parts: (1)Assess the equilibrium function by measuring the Berg balance integral and PASS position Evaluation measuring scale to measure the position of the patient.(2)To assess the motorial function by using the Fugl-Meyer appraisal table,and assess the ability of activities of daily living by the Bathel Indexs appraisal table.Results:(1) There was a significant improvement of equilibrium function,motorial function and the ability activities of daily living before and after treatment in both the treatment group and the control group(P＜0.05).(2) There was a statistical difference of equilibrium function,motorial function and the ability activities of daily living between the treatment group and the control group after the treatment(P＜0.05).Conclusion:1.The acupuncture and rehabilitation therapy integrated with balancing apparatus training and the only acupuncture and rehabilitation therapy can improve the equilibrium function of patients after the cerebral infarction,and the compositive therapy is more effective than simplex function training.2.The acupuncture and rehabilitation therapy integrated with balancing apparatus training and the only acupuncture and rehabilitation therapy can improve motorial function and the ability activities of daily living of patients after the cerebral infarction,and the compositive therapy is more effective than simplex function training.
