Objective:Acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine is an important component of the efficacy of acupuncture has been recognized. However,the mechanism of acupuncture is not yet entirely clear on the effect of rules of Meridian has been the field of acupuncture research.Clinical observation of the 973 subjects for the country "Meridian effect and impact of specific factors"(topic number: 2006CB504502),son of the subject,"Acupuncture Treatment of Bell's palsy in a gas,and neuro-psychological factors on the effects of acupuncture,multi-center randomized controlled trials" part.In this study,observation of selected patients with Bell's palsy treated with acupuncture and Chinese herbs the effect of Bell's palsy and a gas on the way acupuncture acupuncture effects,more in-depth study for the future effect of the laws of Meridian provide ideas and leads.Methods:All cases selected in September 2008~March 2009 in Hubei Province and the Chinese medicine hospital neurology outpatient acupuncture with the selected conditions and are willing to join the study in patients with a total of 20 cases,nine cases were male and 11 females,aged 18~50 years old,the average(33.85±10.40) years old.Practices were randomly divided into groups and non-approach group,10 cases of group practices,10 cases of non-practices group.Modus Operandi Unit patients and non-means in terms of gender,age,duration,extent,severity of illness were not significantly different(P>0.05).Bell's palsy group practices of conventional Western treatment and acupuncture treatment,and incidence of(not into the group) after 1 week and selected the first four weeks of acupuncture practices may impose an appropriate gas; non-way of Bell's palsy group were given conventional treatment and Western medicine acupuncture treatment,but does not impose any acupuncture practices.Observation time of two groups of four weeks, but in the process of observation,if the patients for the Uouse-Brackmann gradeⅠlevel,then judged to be cured,to observe the termination.Of two groups of patients with clinical symptoms after treatment,House-Brackmann grading scale,Nottingham grading scale of facial nerve,facial disability index(FDI) rating scale were compared.Results:Group after treatment practices and non-means groups of patients with Bell's palsy have a significantly improved clinical symptoms, the total effective approach 100%,non-means group 100%efficient, than those reported in the literature of the past a single Western therapies to increase efficacy.After treatment House-Brackmann grading scale and approach between non-means no significant difference(P>0.05).Practices and non-means indicators Nottingham group after treatment,FDIP points higher than before treatment a marked increase in t-test were significantly different (P<0.05),but the score after treatment between the two groups no significant difference(P>0.05).Group practices group practices and non-FDIS points after treatment than before treatment slightly decreased,but by the t-test no significant difference(P>0.05), score between the two groups after treatment and no significant difference(P>0.05).Conclusion:The clinical observation showed that treatment with acupuncture and Chinese herbs to improve the local Bell's palsy symptoms,and promote the recovery of facial nerve function and improving physical function in patients with significant effect, reported in the literature than the previous single-Western therapy is effective,and did not find adverse reactions and side effects. However,the observation group practices group practices and non-efficacy between the two groups there was no significant difference.Combined Acupuncture and Medicine practices regardless of Bell's palsy group and non-means group of patients with functional improvement of social life did not show significant effect.
