| Objective: Through the study the role of brainstem auditory evoked potential monitoring in acoustic neuroma surgery microsurgery, to reduce the brainstem dysfunction, enhance the rate of total resection of tumor, reduce the complications caused by surgery, improve surgical safety. Methods: From March 2006 to August 2008, through studing retrosprctively 24 cases of acoustic neuroma patients with BAEP monitor for intraoperative BAEP in continuous real-time monitoring, in accordance with the monitoring results of the brainstem can cause dysfunctional to the operation carried out early warning to avoid man-made factors on the brain stem and auditory nerve dysfunction, to observate surgical operations on their impact. Results: During Acoustic neuroma surgery operation, Operation in and around the brainstem may cause changes in BAEP, BAEP V wave amplitude decreased, V wave PL,I~V,III~V IPL was significantly prolonged. Conclusion: BAEP extension of the V wave latency and amplitude decrease as well as I~V, III~V IPL extended acoustic neuroma are sensitive intraoperative electrophysiological indicators, their care for patients can avoid the intraoperative brainstem dysfunction, provide objective indicators of obstacles in postoperative respiratory function and prediction of consciousness, provide to reduce the disability rate of surgery for acoustic neuroma tumor surgery, reduce the rate of surgery for the disabled, improve security have important clinical value. |
