Background and ObjectiveComa is the most serious consciousness obstruction, and how to predicte the outcome of comatose patients correctly become more and more important. Tradition methods, such as Glasgow coma score were very widely used, because they were convenient, but some times they may draw a false results. So we need better methods in prediction of the outcome of comatose patients. With the development of electrophysiology technology, more and more people began to use it to predicte the outcome of comatose patients. Some foreign learners first found electroencephalogram was valuable in prediction of the outcome of comatose patients, but in electroencephalogram time was limited and indicatrix were ealily influenced. So dynamic electroencephalogram began to be used, but dynamic electroencephalogram could not embody the function of brainstem correctly. Evoked potential was another method. Many reports proved brainstem auditory evoked potential and somatosensory evoked potential were valuable in prediction of the outcome of comatose patients. But evoked potential...
