The Clincal And Experimental Research Of Strengthening Spleen And Improving Intelligence Acupuncture Method In Treating Infantile Cerebral Palsy

[Objective]: To observe the clinical effect of strengthening spleen and improving intelligence acupuncture method in treating infantile cerebral palsy. Meanwhile, establish the model of spleen-deficiency and juvenile SD rats and observe the changes of cerebral ultrastructure after the acupuncture treatment of spleen strengthening. In that way, we can explore the mechanism of treating infantile cerebral palsy from the spleen aspect and provide the experimental theory basis for the acupuncture method of strengthening spleen and improving intelligence.[Methods]: the 60 patients with cerebral palsy were randomly divided into 3 groups. Group A is called strengthening spleen and improving intelligence acupuncture method group. Group B is called the citicoline treatment group. Group C is called strengthening spleen acupuncture combined with citicoline treatments group. (hereinafter referred to as acupuncture combined with medication group) The changes of the children's cognitive,speech,motion functions, self-care and social adaptation were recorded before and after the treatment. Then analyze the differences of the efficacy in and between the groups. Divide the 3-week-old SD rats that accord with standard into normal group, model group and treatment group. The normal group would not be established to be models. The model group would not be treated after being established to be models successfully while the treatment group would begin to accept acupuncture treatment. Observe the changes of the ultrastructures during different periods.[Result]: Patients in three groups had different degree of improvement in functions of cognition, speech, movement, self-care function and social internation before and after therapy (P<0.05). There was significant difference between group A and group C (P<0.05), but no significant difference between group A and group C (P<0.05). In animal experiment, rats in the experiment group can alleviate the degree of neuron injury with little nuclear morphological changes and nuclear membrane. Mitochondria slightly damaged with some cristae dissolving. Hydropic degeneration slightly occurred in synapse, and some chondriosomes had mild vacuolization.[Conclusion]: The strengthening spleen and promoting intelligence acupuncture method can improve the functions of cognition, speech, movement, self-care function and social internation, especially in movement and self-care function. In animal experiment, this method can alleviate the damage of the ultrastructure and synapse in the brain neuron of rats with spleen deficiency, and improve the brain development.
