| OBJECTIVE: To discover the relationship between etiological factors of common cold of warm-dryness syndrome and cold-dryness syndrome, and the relationship among these etiological factors.METHODS: According to the theory of diseases caused by exogenous evils in Traditional Chinese Medicine, and considering the extension of matter-element, meteorology, and epidemiology, we designed a questionnaire to find the possible etiological factors that patients confronted, including environmental factors, meteorology factors, individual physiology, psychology, and habit factors. We collected clinical data of warm-dryness syndrome and cold-dryness syndrome patients at test plot. Construct database, use the way of decision tree to do data mining and analyze data. By calculate the information gain to determine the contribution of every factor in the process of invasion, get decision tree, and display the correlativity among the factors.RESULTS: We got 235 pieces of clinical record, in which 144 are warm-dryness syndrome, and 91 are cold-dryness syndrome. Choose factors from different aspects, analyze data, get decision trees. We find that in the normal data, age, gender, per capita income influence the occurrence of exogenous dry type, information gain respectively is 0.302, 0.275, 0.269. In physical factors and living habits, case history, tobacco and alcohol habits, and the degree of obesity play important parts, information gain respectively is 0.325, 0.283, 0.279. In meteorology factors, average wetness, wind force, average temperature play main roles in the development of warm-dryness syndrome, information gain is 0.356, 0.296, 0.289, and average wetness, average temperature, wind force play main roles in the development of cold-dryness syndrome, information gain is 0.341, 0.295, 0.287. Combining various kind of factors, in the development of warm-dryness syndrome, average wetness, wind force, average temperature and age play important parts, information gain respectively is 0.351, 0.340, 0.33, 0.331; in the development of cold-dryness syndrome, average temperature, temperature difference, average wetness, wind force play main roles, information gain is 0.331, 0.312, 0.304, 0.30.CONCLUSION: 1. Children and old people are susceptible to exogenous dry syndrome, the female more than male in gender structure; 2. Related case history and unhealthy living habits play more important roles in the occurrence of exogenous dry syndrome; 3. Among meteorology and environment factors, the occurrence of exogenous dry syndrome is apparently influenced byaverage wetness, wind force and average temperature; 4. Many factors lead to the occurrence ofexogenous dry syndrome, in which individual physiology, meteorology factors, living habits andcase history all play main roles. |
