Objective: The purpose of this study is aimed at confirming the pathogenic factors of postoperative cogniotive dysfunction (POCD) to improve relevant preventive measures, therefore raising the living standard both physically and psychologically by evaluating the incidence rate and related foactors of POCD in senile patients.Subjects: According to ASA clasification (I-III), 466 senilce selective non-cardiovascular surgical patients(>65y) exempt from nervous system disease, psychiatric disortder and related treatment, craniocerebral trauma or cerebral hemorhage (25 were excluded due to poor obedience).Content:1. General condition: age, gender, educational background, smoke and alchohol history.2. Perioperative condition: preoperative medication, anesthetic method, operation time, postoperative analgesic measures, intraoperative waken-up and dosage of intraveous anesthetic agents.3. MMSE values were obtained 24 hours before operation, 24 hours after operation repectively ; VAS values and postoperative sleeping condition were also analyzed.Conclusion: Preoperative medication, anesthetic method, anesthetic time, and postoperative aching degree are major factors contributing to POCD in senile patients over 65 years old.
