The Study About Bioscience Curriculum Development In Chinese Baccalaureate Nursing Education

Objective:(1) The current condition about bioscience curriculum development is discribed in baccalaureate nursing education;(2) The suggestion about the bioscience curriculum development is understood after the relation between the bioscience curriculum and training objectives is analysed;(3) A bioscience curriculum planning is presented in baccalaureate nursing education.Methods:Via covenient sampling,the bioscience curriculum of 45 baccalaureate nursing colleges or universities were analysed.And 107 nursing teachers in 16 baccalaureate nursing colleges or universities were recruited in the study.The questionnaire as study instrument was designed by curriculum planning interaction analyses principle which was first brought in East China Normal University.Results:The study first described the current condition about bioscience curriculum development.The afforded bioscience curriculum mostly were pharmacology,physiology,anatomy,biochemistry,pathology,microbiology,histology and embryology,immunology and pathophysiology.Their afforded ratios were all over 80 percent.Some schools offered integrated curriculum.The average credit hours of bioscience curriculum were 567.And the credit hours about every bioscience curriculum differed mostly in all 45 schools so that the distinct difference between the mix and the max is 850.All bioscience curriculum were afforded in special sequence. Examination was the main evaluation form of study effect.After investigating some nursing teachers,the study finally chose 8 bioscience subject curriculum and their offered sequence.Lastly,according the principle of curriculum development,the current of bioscience curriculum development and the outcome of questionnaires,the investigator integrated 8 subject curriculum into 8 new bioscience integrated curriculum.She also presented credit hours,the study period of new bioscience curriculum and the evaluation form of study effect.That was to say,the investigator presented a bioscience curriculum planning in baccalaureate nursing education.Conclusion:(1)The study confirmed the current condition about bioscience curriculum development in baccalaureate nursing education,including afforded curriculum,afforded credit hours,the evaluation form of study effect and the study period of every bioscience curriculum.(2)The bioscience curriculum played the role of basic function in baccalaureate nursing education.(3)On the foundation of the outcome of questionnaires,the offered bioscience subject curriculum in their afforded sequence are anatomy,histology and embryology,microbiology,immunology,physiology,pharmacology,pathology and pathophysiology.
