Analysis On Traditional Chinese Medicine Syndromes Of Non-small Cell Lung Cancer And Clinical Effect Of Feitai Capsule On Patients With The Syndrome On Deficiency Of Vital Energy And Phlegm Blood-stasis

Objective:To investigate the distribution of TCM syndromes in Non-small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC) and approach the dependablity with the Patho-category and Clinical-stage;To obser ve the effect of Feitai Capsule combined with Chemo.in advanced patients with the Syndrom e on Deficiency of vital energy and Phlegm-blood stasis.Methods:Select 125 patients of NSCLC with definite patho-category in Oncology Departme nt and Chest Surgery Department of our hospital from 2007-2 to 2008-2:1.According to the CRF table of National 973 Topic,making the questionaire of TCM syndromes,and analysize the dependablity between the TCM syndromes and the Patho-category and Clinical-stage;2. To take 60 advanced patients with the Syndrome on Deficiency of vital energy and Sputum blood clot among them.The patients were randomly divided into two groups:Group A were treated with Feitai plus Chemo,Group B with Chemo only.Patients in Feitai plus Chemo, were given Feitai capsule and Chemo.at the same time;Patients were given Feitai capsule 4 pills,third a day,3 weeks as 1 cycle,2 cycles as a course of treatment.Meanwhile,patients in group A were given chemo with "TAXOL+DDP"(TP) or "NVB+DDP"(NP) regime,3 weeks as 1 cycle,2 cycles as a course of treatment.The program of chemo of the group B is the same as the Group A.After 2 cycles of treatment,the size of tumor,change of symptoms,quality of life and function of immune were compared between 2 groups.Results:1.The result of clinical TCM syndrome:The syndromes which overjet 70 percent cases of all are 10 specieses as followes:phlegm-dampness and blood-stasis(3.20%),qi-defic iency and blood-stasis(3.20%),qi-deficiency and phlegm-dampness(2.40%),qi-deficiency co mbining phlegm-dampness and blood-stasis(28.00%),qi-deficiency combining phlegm-ardor and blood-stasis(6.40%),qi-stagnation combining phlegm-dampness and blood-stasis(2.40% ),qi-deficiency combining phlegm-dampness and qi-stagnation and blood-stasis(20.00%),qi-deficiency combining phlegm-ardor and qi-stagnation and blood-stasis(4.00%),qi-deficiency combining yin-asthenia and phlegm-dampness and blood-stasis(3.20%),qi-deficiency combin ing yang-asthenia and qi-stagnation and blood-stasis(2.40%);The syndromes of TCM have no association with Patho-category(P=0.347),but they have evident relation with Clinical-stage (P=0.012).2.Efficiency:In the end of the treatment,the eligible cases in Feitai plus Chemo. and Chemo.were 30 and 29 respectively.The stable percentage of tumor in Feitai plus Chemo. And Chemo.were 60.0%(18/30) and 51.7%(15/29) respectively(P=0.522),so there was no difference between Feitai plus Chemo.and Chemo.;Compare with Chemo.,the total effective rate of Feitai plus Chemo.was 73.3%(22/30),better than 41.4%(12/29) of Chemo.(p=0.05). so Feitai plus Chemo.Might be more effective in relieving the symptoms than Chemo.;After the treatment,KPS(Karnovfsky performance status) in Feitai plus Chemo.was obviously heightened(p=0.001),but the Chemo.disobviously heightened(P=0.608).KPS in Feitai plus Chemo.was better than Chemo.(P＜0.01).The stable and elevating rate of KPS in Feitai plus Chemo.was 83.4%(25/30),higher than 58.6%(17/29) in Chemo.(p=0.013).After the treatment,CD₃,CD₄ and CD₄ / CD₈ in Feitai plus Chemo.was higher than pretherapy(P＜0.05, P＜0.01),and CD₈ was lower than pretherapy(P＜0.01).However,CD₄,CD₈ and CD₄/CD₈ in Chemo.was lowerer than pretherapy(p＜0.01),and CD₈ was higher than pretherapy (P＜0.01).Compare with Chemo.,Feitai plus Chemo.can elevate the immune function than that of Chemo.(P＜0.05,P＜0.01).Conclusions:1.According to the initial result of investigation,qi-deficiency is mainly to Asthenia syndromes,phlegm and blood-stasis is mainly to Sthenia syndromes,in the TCM syndromes of NSCLC.So qi-deficiency,phlegm and blood-stasis are the most common TCM syndromes and the core of Pathogenesis in NSCLC,providing the theory evidence for it.2.The NSCLC patients ofâ… ,â…¡are predominant in Sthenia syndrome,but with the progression of pathogenetic condition from morning to advanced stage,the syndromes would evolve from Sthenia syndrome to Asthenia and Sthenia syndrome,and vary into Asthenia syndrome at last, so the patients ofâ…¢,â…£are predominant in Asthenia and Sthenia syndrome,Asthenia syndrome;However,the syndromes of TCM have no association with Patho-category.3.Feitai capsule combined with Chemo.can obviously relieve the symptom and improve patients' physical strength and elevate immune function..
