| Objective:To study the role of selective psychological intervention on peripheral blood T lymphocyte subtypes and emotion in patients with breast cancer.Methods:Case-control study method was adopted. Ninety inpatients with breast cancer were divided into intervention group one, intervention group two and control group(30 patients in each group). Patients in each group received routine chemotherapy and health education while the intervention group one also received selective psychological intervention. Psycho- logical intervention methods were selected independently and completed daily by patients in intervention group one and completion status was also recorded daily on psycho-treatment form by them. Meanwhile intervention group two received non-selective psychological intervention besides the routine chemotherapy and health education. That is to say, internenors gave cognitive therapy and behavioral training to intervention group two.Anxiety and depression in each groups were measured and peripheral blood T lymphocyte subtypes were detected pre- and post-treatment.Results:In intervention group one and two CD3+ CD4+ and the ratio of CD4+/ CD8+ of T lymphocyte subtypes were higher ,while CD8+ was lower after intervention than that before intervention. A significant difference was also observed compared to that of control group(P<0.01).After intervention there was no significant difference in CD3+ CD4+ CD8+ and the ratio of CD4+/ CD8+ between intervention group one and two(P﹥0.05).In control group, though CD3+ CD4+ and the ratio of CD4+/ CD8+ were higher and CD8+ was lower in post-treatment period than that before treatment, there was no significant difference. In intervention group one and two, HAMA HAMD value showed significant difference after intervention than that in control group(P<0.01).After intervention there was significant difference in HAMA HAMD value between intervention group one and two(P﹤0.05).The score in intervention group decreased more than control group(P﹤0.01) ,and the score in intervention group one decreased more than intervention group two(P﹤0.05).Conclusions:1.Selective psychological intervention has the same effects on enhancing the function of peripheral blood T lymphocyte subtypes compared with non-selective psychological intervention.2.Compared with non-selective psychological intervention, selective psychological intervention shows better effects on decreasing anxiety and depression.3. Selective psychological intervention is capable of characterizing the personality of psychological intervention. It can be applied to holistic nursing in clinical breast cancer patients. |
