Correlation Between Serum Lipids And Uric Acid,High Sensitive C Reaction Protein As Well As Cardiac Function In Patients With Dilated Cardiomyopathy | | Posted on:2008-11-14 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | | Country:China | Candidate:Y J Guo | Full Text:PDF | | GTID:2144360245952857 | Subject:Internal Medicine | | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | | IntroductionAs is known that blood lipids abnormalities exert a critical role for the development of coronary artery disease(CAD).Hypercholosterolemia is a well-established risk factor for the development of CAD and heart failure(HF).however, for dilated cardiomyopathy(DCM),blood lipids levels is little studied, some sporadic studies in china and abroad showed blood lipids of DCM were decreased in varying degrees and the lower levels were not coincidence from different reports.Weather blood lipids abnormality and the concrete contents, the relationship with DCM is still elusive. The purpose of this study was to further evaluate the relationship between serum lipids, uric acid and high sensitive C reaction protein(hsCRP)and cardiac function in patients with DCM by studying retrospectively the data of 42 patients with DCM and 44 controls.PurposeTo investigate the relationship between serum lipids and uric acid and hsCRP and cardiac function in patients with DCM.Material and methodssubjectsAll cases were inpatients during January of 2006 to June of 2007.42 DCM patients(29 males and 13 females, mean age 57.62±11.70 years old) and 44 healthy controls(27 males and 17 females, mean age 57.25±9.72 years old)with matched age and sex were retrospectively studied. Then patients with DCM were divided 2 groups:group A(New York Heart Association[NYHA]classâ… -â…¡,7 males and 2 females, meanage 57.78±14.40 years old),group B(NYHAâ…¢-â…£,22 males and 11 females, mean age 57.57±11.11 years old). The diagnostic standard was accord to the WHO/ISFC in 1995.MethodsAll cases were checked by Doppler echocardiography and an automatic biochemistry analysis apparatus.1.Echocardiography examination:Doppler echocardiography were HP5500 type or vivid7 type produced from United States, and the M type and 2-DE were used for checking at the same time.all receptors took lateral recumbent position, according to the ACS recommended methods, left ventricular end diamiter diastolic(LVIDd),left ventricular end diamiter systolic(LVIDs),left ventricular posterior wall diastolic(LVPWd),left ventricular posterior wall systolic(LVPWs),LVEF were measured from left ventricular major axis path(simposon method). AF patients were measured by 3-5 movie cycle.2.Biochemical analysis:serum lipids and uric acid were analyzed with Enzyme Method by standard procedure(BeckmanCX20 automatic biochemistry analysis apparatus)within all groups,low-density lipoproteins was calculated according to Friedewald formula:LDL=TC-HDL-TG/2.2.hsCRP were analyzed with latex agglutination assay.Apolipoproteins were measured in part Participants.3.Statistics analysis:all statistical procedures were performed with SPSS15.0 software package, all data are expressed as mean±SD. Comparisons between two groups were performed by two-tailed unpaired t -test.Comparisons between all groups were performed by one-way analysis of variance(ANOVA).Correlations between continuous variables were examined by determining Pearsons' coefficient,Assisted by scatter plot.non-continuous variables were examined by determining Spearmans' coefficient.Results1.The basic conditions of all participants:Table 12.TC,TG and HDL in patients with DCM were lower to healthy controls (P<0.05).Then,compared to healthy controls or group A,HDL and LVEF,LVPWs in group B were significantly lower(almost P<0.01),serum uric acid,hsCRP and LVIDs,LVIDd were significantly higher(P<0.01).3.In patients with DCM,HDL or serum uric acid were(negatively or positively,r=-0.395 or r=0.321,respectively,P<0.01)related with NYHA class. In group B,HDL were negatively related with serum uric acid and hsCRP(r=-0.686,r=-0.542,respectively P<0.01),serum uric acid were positively related with hsCRP(r=0.502,P<0.01).there were no relationship within other groups.ConclusionSerum lipids and uric acid,hsCRP were abnormal in patients with DCM and HDL were significantly related with serum uric acid and hsCRP in severe DCM patients. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | dilated cardiomyopathy, serum lipids, serum uric acid, hsCRP, NYHA class | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
