Objective To explore the correlation among expression of E-cadherin,N-cadherin and serum CA125 in colorectal carcinoma. Methods E-cadherin and N-cadherin expression in 70 colorectal carcinoma samples were detected by the two-step immunohistochemical stain.Serum CA125 were detected by chemiluminescent immunity analyse.Statistical analyses were performed using Spassl 1.5 software package for windows.Result1.The positive expression rate of E-cadherin in normal colorectal tissue was significantly higher than that in colorectal carcinoma(P<0.05),and its reduced positive expression rate was significantly correlated with invaded depth, cell differentiation, lymph node metastasis, and by bivariate spearman test, the expression degree of E-cadherin inversely correlated with the degree of invaded depth, cell differentiation, lymph node metastasis and distant metastasis(P<0.05).2.The positive expression rate of N-cadherin in normal colorectal tissue was significantly lower than that in colorectal carcinoma(P<0.05),and its increased positive expression rate was significantly correlated with invaded depth, lymph node metastasis and distant metastasis, and by bivariate spearman test, the expression degree of N-cadherin directly correlated with the degree of invaded depth, cell differentiation, lymph node metastasis(P<0.05).3.CA125 increased positive expression rate was significantly correlated with invaded depth and distant metastasis, and by bivariate spearman test, the expression degree of CA125 directly correlated with the degree of invaded depth and distant metastasis(P<0.05).4.By bivariate spearman analysis, the correlation between E-cadherin and N-cadherin what was inverse(r=-0.488,P<0.05);the correlation between E-cadherin and CA125 what was inverse too(r=-0.257,P<0.05);But the correlation between N-cadherin and CA125 what was positive correlation(r=0.261,P<0.05). Conclusion1.The low-level or non-expression of E-cadherin may be a factor for invasion and aggravation in colorectal carcinoma.Monitoring the expression of E-cadherin has important meaning to judge and predict the lymph gland metastasis of colorectal carcinoma.2.The abnormal expression of N-cadherin may be another factor for invasion and aggravation in colorectal carcinoma.Monitoring the expression of N-cadherin has important meaning to judge and predict the metastasis of colorectal carcinoma.3.With the development of pathological change of colorectal carcinoma and the emergence of the metastasis of lymph gland and distant part, the abnormal expression of CA125 may be as indicators for evaluating the malignancy degree of colorectal carcinoma.4.Goint measuring to E-cadherin,N-cadherin and CA125 expression in colorectal carcinoma perhaps has important meaning to appraise invasion and metastasis of colorectal carcinoma. |
