| Objective:Coronary artery calcification has been confirmed to the histology of atherosclerotic plaques. Coronary artery calcification is an important indicator of coronary heart disease. This research on 16-slice CT angiography and coronary artery calcification of the significance of the diagnosis of coronary heart disease was to understand the relationship between the extent of coronary artery stenosis and the calcification score,to understand coronary artery calcification in the different stages of distribution. From the perspective of the diagnosis of coronary heart disease, 16-slice CT imaging and coronary artery calcification score were combined, it could give the full play multi-slice spiral CT a simple, effective, safe and economical advantage. From many angles evaluation of cononary ,it could be received more diagnostic information, and reached a more objective and comprehensive diagnostic conclusion.Methods:163 patients with suspected coronary disease were studied with a 16-slice CT scanner(in March 2007 to November 2007).First, they had slice scanning, then two experienced and trained radiologists recorded the value of calcification in the four main coronary arteries(LD,RCA,LAD,LCX) and calculated gross calcification with results from the average. Under conditions in the control of heart rate (HR> 70 beats / min, oral metoprolol 25 ~ 50 mg, resting 30~60 min),coronary artery imaging examination and processing of images was done by two experienced radiologists.The relevance between coronary artery calcification and vascular stenosis degree and the distribution of coronary artery calcification in different age groups were done by statistics analysis.Results:1 The relationship between 16-slice Spiral CT Coronary Angiography(CTA)and calcification score:Group less than 50 years old,the value of calcification in coronary angiography of the negative was 36.74±4.63, value of calcification in the positive stenosis was 112.35±3.64. Group 50~59Y, the value of calcification in coronary angiography of the negative was 87.32±9.16, value of calcification in the positive stenosis was 135.09±22.27. Group 60~69Y, value of calcification in the negative of coronary angiography was 89.76±6.82, value of calcification in the positive stenosis was 187.57±35.67.Group more than 70-year-old age,the value of calcification in the negative of coronary angiography was 93.66±7.74, value of calcification in the positive stenosis was 274.34±31.7. The value of calfication between them in every age group was obvious significant in statistics. 2 The relationship between calfication score and the positive stenosis degree of coronaryCoronary artery stenosis of calfication score in group more than 400 was significantly higher than that in group lower than 400. There was obvious significant in statistics between them(P<0.01).3 The relationship between calfication score and stenosis degree of coronaryThe luminal stenosis less than 50% was group A, the luminal stenosis Luminal stenosis in 50%to 75% was group B, the luminal stenosis more than 75% was group C.The value of calfication in groupA was significantly lower than that in group C. There was obvious significant in statistics between the two groups(t-test,P<0.05).Between group A and group B ,between group B and group C,the difference of calfication value had no significant in statistics(t-test,P>0.05).Conclusions:Four age groups,the positive stenosis group (luminal stenosis>50%) of the calcification rate and the value of calcification is significantly higher than that in the CTA negative group (lumen show normal completely). With the age growing, calcification rate and the value of calcification have a rising trend. To calcification score of 400 for the sector, divided into group more than 400 and group less than 400, this study shows that the group more than 400 of the coronary artery stenosis is significantly higher than that of group less than 400. It is confirmed that the high calcification rate of coronary artery stenosis has a higher incidence. Luminal stenosis less than 50% of the points of vascular stenosis is significantly lower than the average of more than 75% of the vessel, but, there was no difference in calcification score in the luminal stenosis of 50% to 75% and in the vascular stenosis more than 75% of the vessel.Multislice Spiral CT calcification of the coronary artery calcification can be quantified. For the patients of more than 30 years old, the physical examination or chest CT scan should be proposed and coronary artery calcification shoud be added to them. Analysis of calcification will be as a routine examination. Calcification analysis can be used to quantify the extent of the evaluation of coronary artery calcification.It can be suggested to the patients to accept CT coronary,angiography examination and other relevant inspections timely to clear the risk of coronary artery disease.So it can be suggested that to the potential risk of coronary artery ,to change lifestyle timely and to use medicine to control risk factors as the primary prevention of coronary heart disease. In addition,it is hopeful for achieving clinical early discovery, early prevention and early treatment through the revisit to the dynamic monitor coronal atherosclerosis's change. |
