Relationship Between The Expression Of Paxillin, PI3K And HER3 Protein And Regional Angiogenesis, Cancer Cell Proliferation, Invasion, Metastasis, And Prognosis In Cervical Squamous Cell Carcinoma | | Posted on:2009-01-03 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | | Country:China | Candidate:Z D Liu | Full Text:PDF | | GTID:2144360245477691 | Subject:Obstetrics and gynecology | | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | | Objective:The expressions of paxillin, PI3K and HER3 protein in invasive squamous cell carcinoma of cervix and their clinical significance.were investigated. Methods:The expressions of Paxillin, PI3K and HER3 protein in 28 cases of normal cervical epithelium (NCE), 36 cases of cervical intraepithelial neoplasm (CIN) and 68 cases of squamous cell carcinoma of cervix (SCC) were detected by immunohistochemistry SP method. Results:The positive expression rate of Paxillin increased remarkably from NCE and CIN to SCC (p<0.01).The expression of Paxillin in SCC was related with FIGO staging and intravascular infiltration (p<0.05), but was not related with age, histological grading, pelvic lymph node metastasis and depth of stroma infiltration (p>0.05). In the cases with FIGO stagingâ…¡and intravascular infiltration, The positive expression rate of Paxillin significantly higher than those in the cases without them (p<0.05). The expression of Paxillin in SCC was significantly negtive related with survival rate of the patients (p<0.05), but was not related with PI and MVD (p>0.05).The positive expression rate of PI3K increased remarkably from NCE to CIN, and SCC (p<0.01).The expression of PI3K in SCC was related with FIGO staging, histological grading and pelvic lymph node metastasis (p<0.05), but was not related with age, depth of stroma infiltration and intravascular infiltration (p>0.05). In the cases with FIGO stagingâ…¡, poorly differentiated tissue and pelvic lymph node metastasis, The positive expression rate of PI3K significantly higher than those in the cases without them(p<0.05). The expression of PI3K in SCC was significantly positive correlated with PI and MVD (PI: r=0.422, p=0.000; MVD: r=0.402, p=0.001), but was not related with survival rate of the patients (p>0.05).The positive expression rate of HER3 increased remarkably from NCE and CIN to SCC (p<0.01).The expression of HER3 in SCC was related with FIGO staging and histological grading (p<0.05), but was not related with age, pelvic lymph node metastasis, depth of stroma infiltration and intravascular infiltration (p>0.05). In the cases with FIGO stagingâ…¡and poorly differentiated tissue, The positive expression rate of HER3 significantly higher than those in the cases without them (p<0.05). The expression of HER3 in SCC was significantly positive correlated with PI and MVD (PI: r=0.375, p=0.002; MVD: r=0.273, p=0.024), but was not related with survival rate of the patients (p>0.05).The expression of Paxillin in SCC was significantly positive correlated with PI3K and HER3 (PI3K: r=0.451, p=0.000; HER3: r=0.300, p=0.013). The expression of PI3K in SCC was significantly positive correlated with HER3 (r=0.482, p=0.000).Conclusions:The over-expression of Paxillin, PI3K and HER3 may play important roles in canceration and cancer progression in SCC. The over-expression of PI3K and HER3 in SCC may lead to great increase of tumor angiogenesis and cell proliferation, but may be not related with prognosis of the patients. The over-expression of Paxillin in SCC may lead to great increase of intravascular infiltration and pelvic lymph node metastasis, and may be the poor prognosis factors. Detection expression of Paxillin, PI3K and HER3 in SCC may be of value in further understanding of the biological behavior, the mechanism of Invasion and Metastasis and predicting the prognosis of squamous carcinoma of cervix. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | squamous cell carcinoma of cervix, paxillin, PI3K, HER3, metastasis, prognosis, immunohistochemistry | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
