Purpose To examine the effects of electroacupuncture(EA)on IL-6 and TNF-αexpression in intracerebral hemorrhage rats with needling "Neiguan","Shuigou"," aousanli",and to provide the experimental evidence to explore the immunologic mechanisms of EA ameliorating intracerebral hemorrhage damages. Methods 58 Wistar rats were divided into 4 groups at random:normal group, physiological saline group, model group, and electroacupuncture group. The latter two groups were respectively divided into 3 groups by differdnt hours:3h,24h and 72h.0.4ul CollagenseⅦwere used to induce caudal-putamen hemorrhage inrats, which is behind front-fontane 0.2mm,right 2.9mm,deep 6.0mm." Neiguan"," Shuigou","Housanli" were electroacupunctured in 30min.To observe and valuate the nerve missing sign of model guoup rats and electroacupuncture group rats in different hours. After 3h,24h and 72h,all rats were separately killed and made blood. The contents of TNF-αand IL-6 in blood were measured as well as their interrelations.Results(1)According to needling "Neiguan","Shuigou","Housanli",electroacupuncture could improve significantly the nerve missing sign of rats with caudal-putamen hemorrhage(P<0.01).(2)The number of IL-6 and TNF-αpositive cells in the region of operation and reached the peak 72 hours and 24 hours after intracerebral hemorrhage, respectively. The number of IL-6 positive cells of EA 24 hours,72 hours groups was raised(P<0.05), while the number of TNF-αpositive ceils of EA 24 hours,72 hours groups was decreased(P<0.05),as compared with that of intracerebral hemorrhage groups.ConclusionThe expression of IL-6 and TNF-αincreased after cerebral ischemia.EA could upregulate IL-6 expression and downregulate TNF-αexpression,which might be one of the mechanisms of EA protecting against Intracerebral Hemorrhage damage.
