| Objective:To retrospectively analyze the clinical data of osteoid osteoma in 17 cases.Evaluate the clinical features,imaging and pathologic diagnosis, clinical treatment of osteoid osteoma:Materials and Methods:Collected 17 cases of osteoid osteoma.There were 12 male and 5 female.The average age was 16 years,the average duration was 12months.All cases were proved by surgical pathology. Examinations:All patients had plain films.Some were imaged with CT MRI or ECT.All patients were routine examined.Treatment:16 cases was treated with surgical intervention while 1 expectant treatment because the patient refused operation.The types of surgical intervention include: scoraping endo-encyst and bulk eccope.Pathology:16 cases had pathologic examinations.3 had frozen section during operation.Following up: Observed the curative effects in 16 cases after operations.All of them were followed up for more than 9 months.1 case was lost.Results:Imaging appearance:4 nidi was indentified indeed in 17 cases in X-ray films,the ratio of nidus' display was 23.5%.9 nidi was indentified in 11 cases with CT scanning,the ratio was 81.8%.Only 4 was indentified in 10 cases with MRI,the ratio was 40%.Pathological report:Most of the reports displayed that:Tumor was constructed with osteoid tissue,with different degree of fibrous tissue and osteoblast proliferation.There were dilated micrangium in interstitial substance,and degree of calcification.The patholical diagnosis were all "osteoid osteoma".Treatment result:It was followed up for 27 month in average after operations except 1 lost.The symptoms such as pain disappeared in 3 days after operations.There were no evidence of recurrence.1 patient came again because of incision suppuration,debrided.There were on other complications founded.Conclusions:Osteoid osteoma has representative clinical features, according to which most of patients can be diagnosed.The final diagnosis depends on pathologic examination.Tradition surgical intervention was all feasible. |
