BackgroundAcute coronary syndrome (ACS) since the 1980s is a new concept, which includes Sudden cardiac death, and ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction, non-ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction and unstable heart cutter pain (UA). Although in recent years the cardiovascular disease prevention and treatment has made significant progress, but acute coronary syndrome prevalence and incidence rates are still increasing, the mortality is also high. Research shows that a large number of Chinese medicine in the treatment of ACS, a positive effect. Professor Deng Tietao, who is a renowned dostor nationally, considers that " Qi deficiency with phlegm and blood stasis" are basic cause of ACS. In this study, Professor Deng Tietao used DENG'S Corocardial Decoction, an alternated form of the Wendan decoction, as a cure for the patients with acute coronary syndrome, had satisfactory effect.ObjectiveTo study the method of supplementing qi activating blood flow and removing phlegm in the treatment of ACS, and to provide a practical and valuable approach for clinical use. Further more, to evaluate the efficacy and safety of DENG'S Corocardial Decoction , initial explore its possible mechanism in the treatment of ACS , in order to provide experimental basis for clinical pharmacology studies and broaden the indications.MethodsA total of 60 qualified patients were randomly divided into two groups of 30 patients, the treatment and controlled group, randomly using PEMS 3.1 for Windows "completely random Design" procedures. The treatment group was prescribed mainstream therapy and DENG'S Corocardial Decoction, while the controlled group was simply given the former. The groups underwent 2 weeks of treatment. During the course of treatment, patients were observed before and after the treatment of cardiac function classification, angina grade, angina points, lipids and Hs-CRP change, and conventional indicators of adverse reactions.Results1.Two groups before treatment in general, heart function classification, angina grade, angina points, High-sensitivity C-reactive protein, and other clinical data, there was no significant difference (P>0.05), the two groups are comparable .2. Observation group and the control group of patients with ACS Hs-CRP levels were increased to varying degrees, and cardiac function in patients with the higher grade, the higher grade angina, Hs-CRP level higher, at different NYHA level, angina grade subgroup Hs-CRP plasma levels differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).3. Treatment group on the ultra-sensitivity C-reactive protein levels drop of better than in the control group (P<0.05) in the treatment group improved cardiac function, angina is superior to the control group (P<0.05).4. Two groups had no significant or serious side effects, safety and tolerability of good.Conclusion1.The method of supplementing qi activating blood flow and removing phlegm had certain effect in the treating ACS. It is worthwhile to perform further studies and hopefully brought into a broader spectrum in its clinical use.2. DENG'S Corocardial Decoction not only increases the overall curative effect of ACS, but also improves heart function in patients with and reduces the occurrence of angina pectoris, regulates lipid metabolism, has a good safety and tolerability, worthy of further research and development.
