The Rural Cooperative Medical Care System was the system of the collective health care system, which established by the new China's farmers on the basis of mutual and voluntary aid. It began with the rising of the 1950s' Agricultural co-operative movement, promoting and developing on Mao Zedong's direction of "6·26" in 1965. The Rural Cooperative Medical Care System reached a climax in the "Cultural Revolution", and declined in the beginning of the 1980s. The Rural Cooperative Medical Care System of Guang Dong province had this process of rising, development, climax and declining in the context.I want to do my best to reproduce the system and the people who work for it in the complete and historic perspective, and to find the track of the Rural Cooperative Medical Care System of Guang Dong province and tens of thousands people, who worked as the Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioners, and reproduce the role of them, then give inspiration to the new Rural Cooperative Medical Care System on them. The Rural Cooperative Medical Care System, as the health system of cooperative nature, did not begin suddenly, while, it has the relationship with the historic figures. The Rural Construction Movement, especially in the three-layer rural health care network in Ding Xian experiment and the medical health work of the Shanxi-Gansu-Ningxia Anti-Japanese Base Area in 1920s-1930s, as the research study, provided the practical model for the Rural Cooperative Medical Care System of the New China. Then the experience of Ding Xian was used in the third World countries by Yan Yangchu. So "the Ding Xian experience" had the international background. The Soviet experts' suggestions on rural health care network provided policy based on the Rural Cooperative Medical Care System after. The establishment and improvement of the Rural Cooperative Medical Care System of Duang dong start at the political background of "National Agricultural Cooperative Movement", and learn more from the other provinces' advanced experiences. The barefoot doctors' selection, training, technology and treatment are the components of this paper. If we want to have comprehensive understanding of the role of the Traditional Chinese Medicine and its practitioners, we should analyze these problems, such as the formation of the policies of the Chinese Medicine, studying on human resources status of the Traditional Chinese Medicine of Guang Dong, the course of the Chinese medicine practitioners being integrated into national system, the number of the Chinese medicine practitioners in the barefoot doctors, the Chinese herbal medicine movement and its actual results, etc. These problems need to be analyzed. The Chinese medicine practitioners of Guang Dong will be reproduced under the economic backwardness and shortage of primary health care conditions, and they used Chinese medicine to lift of the sufferings of the masses in the rural areas, and then I will draw a conclusion on its historical role. Through it, combining with the in-depth development of the new Rural Cooperative Medical Care System, and the shortage of primary health care conditions in rural, I propose to attache great importance to rural medical work, and give the suggestions on training rural the Chinese medicine personnel and strengthening their operational skills.
