Objective:To observe the prevent effect of compound Trigonella foenum-graecum.L on rat nonalcolholic steatohepatitis(NASH)induced by high fat emulsion.Methods: According to the body weight,eighty-four rats were randomly divided into negative control group,model group,positive control group(Essntiale Forte N 140mg/kg),low (1.2g/kg),middle(2.4g/kg) and high(3.6g/kg) dosage group of compound Trigonella foenum-graecum.L.Each group had 14 rats.The effects of compound Trigonella foenum -graecum.L on the serum concentrations of total cholesterol(TC),triglyceride(TG),high density lipoprotein cholestein cholesterol(HDL-C),low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C),alanine aminotrasferase(GPT),aspartate aminotransferase(GOT),free fatty acid(FFA),Adiponectin and tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α) were investigated in rats.and TC,TG,FFA and hepatic lipase(HL) in liver homogenates were detected.The effects of compound TrigoneUa foenum-graecum.L,on liver histomrrphology of rats were also investigated.Results:The index of liver could be decreased by compound Trigonella foenum-graecum.L at middle and high dosages in rats(P<0.01).The serum concentrations of TC,TG,GPT,GOT could be decreased by compound Trigonella foenum-graecum.L at middle and high dosages in rats(P<0.01或P<0.05).In rats,The serum concentrations ofLDL-C,FFA could be decreased by high dosag of compound Trigonella foenum-graecum.L(P<0.01).The liver tissue of Adiponectin could be increased by compound Trigonella foenum-graecum.L at high dosages in rats (P<0.01).The liver tissue of TC,TG could be decreased by compound Trigonella foenum-graecum.L at middle and high dosages in rats(P<0.01).The liver tissue of HL could be increased by compound Trigonella foenum-graecum.L at middle and high dosages in rats(P<0.05).Liver histopathologic examination showed that compound Trigonella foenum-graecum.L could alleviate the fatty degeneration and punctiform mecrosis.Conelusion:Compound Trigonella foenum-graecum.L has protective effects on experimental fatty in rats.
