| Objective To study the short-term and long-term effect in patients with sympathetic cervical spondylosis whom were treated by millimeter wave, traction and computed medium frequency electrotherapy. Methods 80 patients were randomly divided into experiment group and control group. We used millimeter wave therapy, computed medium frequency electrotherapy and traction to treat patients in experiment group and used ultrashortwave therapy, computed medium frequency electrotherapy, traction in control group, accompanying with medicine therapy in two groups. We observed the effect at the point time of post-treat and the recurrence rate in patients six months after treatment. We also studied 30 healthy volunteers and 80 patients before and after treatment with sympathetic skin response(SSR).Results Twelve days after treatment, the curative effect of experiment group was distinctly higher than that of the controlled group, there was statistical difference between two groups(P<0.05).Six months after treatment, the recurrence rate in experiment group patients was significant lower than the control group (P<0.05).SSR of 30 healthy volunteers could be recorded by stimulating forehead, umbilical region and median nerve of volunteers. The latency was not influenced by stimulating locations and recording sides. The SSR abnormality rate in cervical spondylosis patients was 72.5%by stimulating forehead of patients, was 67.5%by stimulating umbilical region and was 55.0%by stimulating hands. The total SSR abnormality rate in patients was 92.5%.After treatment, the total SSR normality rate in healed patients was 92.7%.Conclusion The curative effect of sympathetic cervical spondylosis patients is excellent good by combined treatment, but the effect of millimeter wave therapy is superior to that of ultrashortwave therapy.SSR can be used as an effective and objective method to detect the function status of autonomic nervous and diagnose subsidiarily sympathetic cervical spondylosis. |
