Objective: To explore the expression and the relationship of VEGF,COX-2 and iNOS in glioma.Method: The immunohistochemical method was used to determine the expression of VEGF,COX-2 and iNOS in 56 Formalin-fixed paraffin embedded samples of glioma,12 cases of normal brain tissues respectively. Results: The percentage of VEGF,COX-2 and iNOS protein positive expression was 62.5%,67.9% and 55.4% in glioma respectively, almost not expression of such there protein in normal brain tissues.Overexpression of VEGF,COX-2 and iNOS in glioma was related to histopathological grade(P<0.05).There was positive correlation between the expression of VEGF,COX-2 and iNOS (P<0.01,P<0.05).Conclusion: VEGF,COX-2 and iNOS may play an important role in the tumorgenesis and malignant progress in glioma, all have close relation in angiogenesis in glioma.Combined detection of VEGF,COX-2 and iNOS may helpful to evaluate prognosis and infiltrative capability of glioma.
