objective:Research the expression of the p53, p15, VEGF(vascular endothelial growthfactor)protein in human brain glioma relationship with pathological classification andgene to gene correlation. Methods:choose the50cases of gliomas in different pathological classification, including18cases of gliomas on level II,17cases on level III,15cases on level IV. usingimmunohistochemical methods to determine the p53, p15and VEGF proteins`expression. Results:the expression of VEGF, p53are with glioma pathological level increases andincreases, the expression of p15with glioma pathological grade rise. In thepathological classification on level II~IV of gliomas,p53positive rate was30.0%(6/20),52.9%(9/17),76.9%(10/13); p15positive rate was70.0%(14/20),52.9%(9/17),23.1%(3/13); VEGF positive rate was45.0%(9/20),70.6%(12/17),86.7%(12/13). the expression of p53、p15and VEGF gene were significantlyassociated with gliomas`pathologic stage (P <0.05). the positive rate of the p53andp15were18.0%(9/50), the positive rate of the p53and VEGF were44.0%(22/50),the positive rate of the p15and VEGF were26.0%(13/50), p53and p15(r=-0.320)、p53and VEGF(r=0.464)、p15and VEGF(r=-0.352)were significant correlationbetween each other (P <0.05).Conclusion:1. p53, p15and VEGF protein expression is the important indicator in judgingthe biology behavior of gliomas, They closely related with the occurrence anddevelopment of gliomas;2. p53, p15and VEGF closely related with each other, and they mutuallycoordinated with each other, jointly promote the proliferation of tumor cells and the formation of new blood vessels in the process of development of glioma.3.Expression of p53and VEGF gene were elevated with increase of glioma`smalignant degree in patients; expression of p15gene was dropped with increase ofglioma`s malignant degree. Test the expression of p53, p15and VEGF gene inglioma on clinic has certain guiding significance in predicting the malignant degree ofglioma.
