The Study About The Compliance In Patients With Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) In Obstructive Sleep Apnea-hypopnea Syndrome In Sichuan

Objectiveto explore the influencing factors and the Compliance in patients with Continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) in obstructive sleep apnea-hypopnea syndrome ( OSAHS ) in SichuanMethodsone hundred and fifty one patients with obstructive sleep apnea-hypopnea syndrome who had been diagnosed by means of polysomnwgram (PSG) were titrated in our hospital, male 122 and female 29.They will plan to be treated by CPAP .we record the data about the PSG and general state of health of the patients, we institute the schedule about the compliance in patients with OSAHS, telephone them about their therapy ,and record it. We analyse the influencing factors and the Compliance in patients with Continuous positive airway pressure in obstructive sleep apnea-hypopnea syndrome.Results: 1 the Compliance in patients with Continuous positive airway pressure in OSAHS is 66.4％in Sichuan. the time for treatment is 7.2±3 hours a day and 6.5±0.2 a week in patients who are compliance with the therpy. 2 Both Complaint improved by CPAP and complaint degree are the most important factor among the factors influenceing compliance. economic factor is another predominant factor which has influence the Compliance in patients with OSAHS. hot weather is also a factor which can influence compliance in patients in Sichuan. the patients who know hazards of OSAHS and advantages of CPAP has the better compliance. 3 noncompliance patients always give up the therpy in the first three months, based on our research, we consider that sex and age are not the main factors which can influence the compliance in patients, and the objective index, such as AHI BMI NC in OSAHS patients, are not the factors too. adverse reaction caused by CPAP, such as the complaint of nasopharynx, complaint of the pressure of CPAP and in inward mask leakage, can not effect the compliance with CPAP in patients with OSAHS。Conclusions:the Compliance in patients with Continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP)in OSAHS is 66.4％in sichuan, and complaint improved by CPAP is the most important factor which influences Compliance, economic factor and hot weather are also the important factors which can influence the Compliance in patients.
