| ObjectiveTo confirm the origin,courser and distribution of the exterior and interiorinnervation in corrugator supercilii, the research is performed by studying theinnervation in corrugator supercilii. Beacause it is difficult to eliminate the glabellarfrown lines that is result in the movement of corrugator supercilii in plastic andaesthetic surgery, the research's purpose is to confirm the neurotomia of corrugatorsupercilii, so that we can find out a proper method to treat the wrinkle, and providethe basis that can reduce the function loss at most. (1) to established the corrugatorsupercilii innervation model by the anatomy and intramuscular nerve staining researchof corrugator supercilii innervation in cadaver. (2) to provide the anatomical basis forthe operation and treatment with which can change the senescent form of glabellawrinkle.Methods5 antiseptic cadaveric head specimens, which were soaked by 10% formaldehydefor 5 moths to 2 years, were dissected macroscopically and microscopically. Thedominate branches' courser and distribution of corrugator supercilii were searchedwhen specimens were dissected sharply and obtusely. 3.5 times surgical operationmicroscope was applied if it's necessary. The intramuscular nerve was displayed by modified Sihler's intramuscular nerve staining, then specimens were measured with thesliding caliper which accuracy is 0.02mm, and the result was recorded bywords and photos.ResultsAfter facial nerve goes out of stylomastoid foramen, all branches areanastomosed, form the three-dimensional reticular formation. The multiplicitas facialnerve branches dominate corrugator supercilii. Temporal branch divides into lateralfrontal branch and wall frontal branch, the lateral frontal branch enters frontal muscle,the wall frontal branch enters orbicularis oculi, they all enter corrugator supercilii atthe middle piece. Zygomatic branch superior branch enters orbicularis oculi, then joininto superficial branch at the medial angle of eye, they all enter procerus muscle, theygo upward and enter corrugator supercilii. Superficial buccal branch goes upward anddoes through the "triangular window" (orbicularis oculi, zygomaticus minor, levatorlabii superioris alaeque nasi),then join into upper and superficial zygomatic branch,they form "angula branch", and cross over medial palpebral ligament, and entercorrugator supercilii and procerus muscle. The distribution of the interior innervationin corrugator supercili was obviously displayed by intramuscular nerve staining. Thedistribution is horizontal and segmental.ConclusionsAll branches of facial nerve are anastomosed and form the nerve net, theydominate facial muscles bynerve net. The multiple facial nerve branches, whichinclude temporal branch,zygomatic branch and buccal, dominate corrugator supercilii.The cormgator supercilii is associated with facial muscles in nearby anatomic region.The way that the intramuscular nerve goes is vertical to the courser of cormgatorsupercili, the distribution is horizontal and segmental. So that in the operation foryoung age, we must cut off all branches that dominate corrugator supercilii in order toelimiate glabellar frown lines. It is a safe and effective method to elimiate glabellar frown lines by high selectivity denervation, in condition of retaining the form andfunction of corrugator supercilii at most. |
