Clinical Studies On Children's Bronchiolitis

Objective: To observe and investigate the curative effect of Xie Fei Hua Tan Enema treating accumulation of phlegm-heat in lung syndrome of children's bronchiolitis and its mechanisation through theory and clinic.Methods:According to the rule of stratified randomization, 90 cases had been carefully chosen as study subjects according to the western medicine's diagnostic criterion of children's bronchiolitis and the TCM diagnostic criterion of accumulation of phlegm-heat syndrome of children's bronchiolitis. According to the rule of randomization, all subjects were divided into two groups, test group and controlled group. The unified lists about cases were filled to study the difference between the status before cases being cured and after cases. The test group was given Xie Fei Hua Tan Enema and iterferon..The controlled group was infused ribavirin injection and iterferon.. The observing course was 7 days.Results: The effect of test group was much better than of the controlled group. Compared with the controlled group, the indexes of test group of the symptoms,signs, physical examinations and laboratory tests including fever,cough, sputum, flaring of nares , auscultation on lung were much better. The study of clinical safety showed that XFHTE had not any harms and side effects on important organs.Conclusions: XFHTE is an effective medicine to children virus pneumonia.The investigation provides a new thought to children's bronchiolitis with Traditional Chinese Medicine, it has important practical value.
