Objective: To observe the effect of Tianxiangdan granule on strain rate and explore the mechanism of melioration of the ischemia and anoxia in patients with coronary heart disease. Methods: 99 patients who accord with the standard of diagnoses and elimination of coronary heart disease were the studied. Patients with the standards observed in patients with coronary artery disease were studied, 51 cases as Deficiency type group and 48 cases as Demonstration type group, Tianxiangdan particles for a month course of treatment, observed in patients with angina attack frequency and duration of treatment, TCM Syndrome Composite Index and ECG changes. Observation and strain rate (SR) changes. Results: (1) After treatment, patients with symptoms of angina, both improved efficiency by Deficiency type group to 94.12%, Demonstration type group of 89.58%. Before and after treatment, compared angina attack frequency and duration, the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). (2) After treatment, the patients' ECG has improved than its before treatment, the difference between the groups was not significant (P> 0.05). 96.05% efficiency for the Deficiency type group, the efficiency of 91.67% for the Demonstration type group. (3) After treatment, the difference of patients integrated traditional Chinese medicine syndromes between the two groups was not significant (P> 0.05). Deficiency type group to 96.08% efficiency, Demonstration type group efficiency 93.75%. (4) After treatment, the myocardial strain rate of patients with coronary artery disease at different time is higher than before, the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05); Before treatment, in different time under the ST-T changes in myocardial segments (537) ST-T strain rate is lower than normal segments (354), and the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). After treatment, different time under ST-T changes in myocardial segments and ST-T segment of the normal myocardial strain rate is higher than before treatment. The difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). However, ST-T segment changes in myocardial strain rate after treatment was higher than that of ST-T changes without changing segments Group. Conclusions: Based on Tongbukaixie Law, Tianxiangdan can not only improve angina patients' symptom clinical and Chinese Medicinal, but aslo evidently elevate the levels of Strain rate. Strain rate can accurately identify changes of ischemia myocardium before and after treatment, Tianxiangdan granule can improve the blood supply of ischemia myocardium and can enhance the ability of myocardial deformation, to improve the systolic and diastolic function of myocardium. Perhaps this is one of the mechanisms for Tianxiangdan granule on therapy of coronary heart disease.
