Objective: To study the diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of testicular tumor. Methods: From 1994 to 2006, Fifty-seven cases with testicular tumor treated in the First affiliated Hospital of xinjiang medical university were reported, and clinical manifestations, diagnosis and treatment were analyzed retrospectively. Results: of the total number, 57 cases were pathologically diagnosed as testicular tumor (93.0%), among which there were 42 cases of seminoma (79.2%) and 4 cases of benign tumor(7.0%)., while seminoma chiefly among those beyond 18, and testis tumor was rare among those between 5 and 17 years old(no case). One-year, three-year and five-year survival rates of seminoma and NSGCT were94.4% and 73.3%; 88.9% and 45.5%; 75.0% and 27.3%, respectively. Conclusion: 1) Testicular rumors are mostly germ cell tumors; 2) Seminoma is rare in those under 18; 3) Testicular tumor rarely develops among those between 5 and 17 years old; 4) Enlargement the knowledge of the testicular tumor, development self-examination of the testis is basic method of diagnosing testicular tumor; 5) According to the classification of pathology, choosing comprehensive treatment method is better than the single treatment; otherwise, the sustain treatment and consolidity treatment are also important; 6) The treatment of seminoma is better than NSGCT, Three-year and Five-year survival rates for seminoma are higher than those for NSGCT. |
